Addictions or cravings arise because we want that “sense of ease and comfort.”This workshop looks at the spiritual, emotional, mental and physical aspects of addiction. Whether your in a 12-step program or want to take an honest and self searching look , this workshop can help to peel away the sabotaging layers of addiction. We look at all aspects of addiction, the negative programming that develops in order to cope and ways to break free and learn positive strategies that enhance the best in us.
A disconnection from our spiritual selves and source can cause an underlying feeling of emptiness and meaninglessness in our lives, which we seek to fill in many fruitless ways. Spiritual healing occurs as we begin to consciously reconnect with our spiritual essence and experience being filled by the spirit within.
Healing on the mental level involves our thoughts, ideas and beliefs that once served us but now are limiting us. This can occur from disowning our intelligence through childhood experiences of criticism or other emotional trauma.
Healing on the emotional level, we look at feeling and releasing repressed emotions from the past. Learning to accept and experience fully. Being in touch with our vulnerability ,caring for and protecting that in relationships.
Physical healing takes place as we learn to feel and listen to our bodies and their wisdom. Techniques are introduced to help us communicate with our bodies and fulfill our needs in loving ways.
Please bring a journal for writing, a yoga mat and an open mind.
